What a title… only a mad author would write it…
Yes! I followed Zorba’s advice:
“A man needs a little madness, or else… he never dares cut the rope and be free.”
Of course I followed some other words of some other wise Man, too.
I invite you to a chat about how multiplanet technique could look like…
The roots of madness
These roots are also the roots of mankind. If we do not take the risk, we do not jump down from the trees, we do not take risks, we die.
The beginning of such madness is always curiosity. Unstoppable, insatiable, morbid curiosity.
Constantly striving for the source of things. At all costs. The greater the costs, the more they hurt, the longer we are able to endure such a struggle, the more we are able to accept failures, the greater the reward awaits us.
I do not think there is any other way for us. Fortunately, this way is the best and it is infinitely beautiful.
Earth’s species vs multiplanet species
It is not mutually exclusive… If something is multiplanetary, it is also terrestrial. We were so far terrestrials… with quasi-planetary (lunar) incidents… [I apologize for that tone, there is an extremely serious Story behind it, the effort of many Heroes]
So we had only incidents because we had terrestrial technology. If we want to develop multiplanetary standard, we need to develop multiplanetary technique. But how to do this if we are still on Earth?!…
Reality includes both our Mother and other planets in an equal way. We just need to look at what we have here in a more intense way. But we’ve been doing it for millennia! Yes, but it needs to be done better. In a different way… to be able to find what we have missed so far… Yes! Here it is madness…
Everything will be fine
Such a challenge frightens and paralyzes with enormous fear but we can not be afraid if we are to act.
We are on a great journey. We had, we are having, and we will have many adventures. This is a process.
So if we must find something and we haven’t found it yet, that’s ok. We will find it tomorrow, even today after dinner, or maybe in next hundred years. But we will find it easier, more efficiently, if we start to seeing differently.
If we want different results, we have to use different methods.
Unfortunately we need very different results… so only different methods are to weak for this job… Yes! Our methods must by very (mad level…) different.
Of course! I know that these are obvious things, and at the beginning it also irritated and tired me. Please note that rotation of the Earth around the Sun is a matter of course today. And this statement is probably boring for some people… But it took us several thousand years to even say and prove it … so we have to be patient during our journey.
How
Ooh yes! Answer… Give the answer…
We did not find many answers to many questions because we did not formulate them properly. The lack of response is a symptom of the lack of requests.
By asking a question you know the answer – I heard this cliche many years ago. Initially it seemed a nonsense. But over time, I began to notice that this is a very logical conclusion, with terrifying consequences… Although it should be added – by asking the right, free, honest question. Then you will certainly get the answer almost automatically because it is an integral part of the good question… It is a difficult skill because we are usually used to fighting, to forcing a result. This style is different – it’s more cooperation, constant, patient listening, resulting from the guarantee of obtaining a reply. Interestingly, some answers will sound – this is a secret… Such a case must be respected and accepted as a relevant and sufficient result.
So the most important thing is to ask questions and do it with more commitment than expecting answers. It makes life troublesome but also makes them valuable.
“How” is too simple and lean, it will only be needed for details at the end of given search processes. We have to start from the foundation, something stronger, something more comprehensive, just such as “why.” Therefore, better than “how” is “why”.
Why
Why would we become a multiplanet species?
Because we want to, because we can, because we have to make such efforts if we are still to remain the same species.
Of course, other answers can be found. I found those. I do not exclude that I will find others. Anyway, thanks to this I was able to move on to the next stage – start the “how” category.
How can we become a multiplanet species?
For this purpose, we need a new technique, the multiplanet technique.
Because technique (τέχνη) is a set of features, ways and methods of dealing with the environment, it enables safe and creative existence.
What is enough on Earth nowadays is not enough on Mars. We need to find methods that will work here and there.
By the way, our current technique destroyed the Earth because it is ineffective, so we also need to implement a new technique here to save the Earth. Mars is right to defend itself against us, waiting for us to grow up.
What is the multiplanet technique, what is it characterized by?
It is not “earthly”.
In a sense, it is not a technique of today’s earthlings…
It contains some old, existing solutions, but significantly develops them, goes further and wider.
Where are the differences?
Paradoxically, there are not many of them. They are about quality, not quantity.
Reality is one, common to the Earth and other places. We have artificially caused this division because we make a lot of mistakes by learning, we cannot do everything at once. Therefore, for convenience, to cover up our indolence, we maintain this bizarre division into our world, the human world, and the world – the worldy world… This is the reason – for example – that only our action is characterized by a point, a straight line and a right angle. Unfortunately, it will be painful, but these irrational paradigms must change. Contrary to appearances, it will be a mental challenge rather than a technical one.
Do we really have a chance?
It’s all about duty. And its fulfillment.
So yes! This is a great chance for us to finally do what we have to do. Another obvious obviousness will help us in this – the hardest things are the easiest, the simplest things are the hardest. Again, another cliche… But it gives us a very important clue. Our assessments of given issues are relative, they are emotional terms, they are not substantive.
Did America find Columbus ugly or pretty? It did not matter when He stepped on her.
We cannot escape our emotions, so it is worth using them as a booster, a grain that will tip the scales when we hesitate…
Therefore, an ordinary person like me, someone without knowledge and experience, can take up this challenge.
I started asking questions and listening to the answers. Some of them turned out to be interesting (they bear very different fruit) and that is why I share them…
This is how my journey began: https://quantumidea.tech/2020/08/23/why-i-started/
